The Walk is a collection of writings that wrapped up my study in Norway.

Remember this missing cat poster
This is where we start our walk
This is a walk
instantly picking up any roadside scenery to talk about
drawing in fragments from a bunch of daily notes
thinking of some books, films, music and performances
Sometimes mumbling
sometimes breathing in dead air
sometimes something just come to my mind and I wanna tell you
I paint
but this is not specifically about painting
It’s perhaps about any corners of being
such as looking out from the window
writing at a bus stop
hearing the rain
feeling strange with smell
etc.
I am not good at handling solemn topics. If I really have to talk about them, I guess it’s always through renaming, storytelling and flashbacks. I need something palpable.
May 2020
In the glossary of weather terms.
Written in spring 2020, drizzle includes 6 pieces of short texts.
All images were dug out from my photo storage of over 10 years. Every bit of those photos were zoomed in and reexamined. I was like playing a text-image matching game, as if people playing sudoku.
Worked indoors.

Day 2.
Johnny had decided to hand-wash all his clothes from now on.
He believed that was the right thing to do.
But today Johnny feels lazy.
He thinks maybe he should trust the washing machine again.
He puts everything into the spaceship.
As usual, sky blue turns to navy blue.
New news is being agitated.
It will probably become old olds when the cabin reopens.
