Responding to the theme about art production, I comtemplated the middle nature of ‘production’. Production lies between the beginning and the From 2013 to 2014, there is a period of time that I observed those fitness facilities near my home. These fitness facilities are commonly found in parks and recreational spaces these years. Its amount is comparable with those children’s playgrounds nowadays. They are mostly used by elderly people and those who do not need to work in normal office hours, e.g. housewives and chronically ill patients. They are usually more available than others as if time surplus applies to them. Especially when they are demonstating repetitive exercising gestures, they are like entering into a self-initiated space, spending their days on those tiny movements. The unique sense of time rooted from these exercsing gestures is fascinating to me.
在 2013 至 2014 年間,我曾經有一段時間,近乎定期地觀察家附近的社區健身設施,這些設施近年常見於公園和休憩空間,數量比兒童遊樂設施有過之而無不及,用家大部分為長者及其他無須在平日辦工時間工作的人,例如家庭主婦及長期病患者等人,他們所擁有的閒暇時間普遍比一般人多,在他們身上可以感覺到時間的盈餘,尤其當他們進行著重覆性的健身動作時,就有如進入了一個自我萌生出來的空間,一旦開始就做上大半天。這些人們在運動中所產生的獨特時間感實在使我著迷。
